The authentic look of an illuminated Middle Age or Renaissance invitation can be created using one of the illuminated manuscript border and the hand drawn medieval capital letters. A complete illuminated alphabet in the form of clip art capitals is included in two styles: illuminated capital letters and illuminated dressed capital letters which are adorned with decorative elements and flourishes; the two alphabets are complete and include all the majuscule letters.

Adding to the page some of the decorative elements included in this collection will complete the page, to complete the project choose the right font; many appropriate fonts are already installed in most computers, if not they can be freely downloaded from the net, a search for free fonts will bring millions of results.

The final touch is to print the page on parchment paper (available at any office supply) or to set in the background one of our images of parchment or books background that are included in the CD and in the instant download. Personally I prefer to use the old book decorative page background or the photographic reproductions of parchment included in the collection because they have a more authentic look than the commercial parchment paper. Medium or heavy weight photo quality matte paper should be used.
